School Shenanigans

So apparently, it was "Incredibly Awesome Kid Day" or something like that at school yesterday. We were supposed to write our child(ren) a letter to tell them just how super and awesome they are. Well, I was unaware of this and sent no letters. When the kids came home they both read letters written by the principal. I assume they were for all of the negligent parents like myself. They both made it a point to tell me that other kids had letters from their parents... I was looking at them thinking, "y'all aren't always awesome", however, I ignored their little digs at me.

This widowhood foolishness is not easy. I have a million things to do and remember every day. I feel like it's a conspiracy against me sometimes. They just don't want me to be great..

Anyway, I guess I will try to be great again next week..
